FN-GM Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Hello, During the SCCM OSD processes Windows 10 is downloading the latest drivers from Microsoft via the internet. This is before the task sequence has even finished, it is at some point during the final stages. The issue is one of the drivers its pulling down is faulty and is causing all sorts of issues for us. Does anyone know how to stop Windows doing this during the task sequence please? Thanks
free780 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Configure the group policy to not allow driver downloads from windows update. https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/2500967 How is your internet access configured?
FN-GM Posted November 12, 2015 Author Posted November 12, 2015 Might work, will give that a try. We have a Transparent proxy and do not need to specify any proxy settings.
FN-GM Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 Setting the group policy doesn't make a difference I am afraid.
Norphy Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 You could try setting that as a local group policy option before you capture your image. That way, the option is set before you deploy it. I know that this would mean having to recapture your image which would be a pain but it's worth a go.
