Edu-IT Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 With Solus3, should the shortcuts used to access SIMS be changed from pulsar.exe to something else as I seem to recall Pulsar.exe triggers an update check with Solus2?
Boredguy Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 You can remove the reference to SIMSload.exe from the shortcut, and point it straight to Pulsar.exe
Cache Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 There was something a while back that SIMSLoad will now check for an upgrade if Solus3 is installed and prevent pulsar being loaded I believe if an upgrade is in progress. Never seen it working myself though and I changed all our shortcuts back to SIMSLoad, but I'm going to change them all back straight to Pulsar again.
Bubbles Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Icons should be left pointing to both SIMSLoad and Pulsar as SIMSLoad is now used by the SOLUS 3 agent as well. if SIMS is ran, SIMSLoad is used to check for any outstanding updates via SOUS 3 and if it is, then a SOLUS 3 popup informs the user they are out of date and asks if they want to upgrade.
