I didn't think that the film was as bad as people make out, and they made the right decision about the ending (would have been awful if they ended when the book did!). Surprised the BBC are going for this after the relative failure of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, but it could be good.

 

I'd rather someone adapted Philip Reeve's Mortal Engines as Peter Jackson seems to have gone off the idea.
