Adding IP Exclusion`s???

Hiya All

 

I want to extend my ip addresses excluded from distribution from 1 - 50, and add bottom end continuing and add 50 more ip exclusions so 1 - 100, but PC`s are using some of the range from DHCP which expire on the 19th. If I add the extra 50 will it take out the pc`s using the same address? or will DHCP renew there addresses? or am I best to wait to Friday night and do them so that they would have expired...?

 

Hope all the above makes sence...LOL

If you add the exclusion now then it won't dish out those ip's next time a renew is issued.

So if I added the exclusion addresses today the PC`s that have them IP`s in Play will continue to use the same IP address till they expire on Sat Night???

 

I just don`t want to take out any PC`s from been able to be used that all:)

Yes that's correct just adding the reservation won't immediately expire the lease on the client it just stops that ip being handed out in the future.
