mdrabble Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Running a Server 2008r2 Server with NSpace Thin Clients and I have a strange issue where randomly and intermittently users do no always pick up GPO settings. The main GPO that is getting overlooking is for Proxy settings. A user logs on and it is pot luck if they get the settings. If they log off and on again, sometimes it sorts it, other time it doesn't. Any one any ideas? Cheers
bewlay51 Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 When did the problem happen, has it ever fully worked? - I have a major issue with GPO's on Multipoint 2011 not being applied - see link below... http://www.edugeek.net/forums/thin-client-virtual-machines/161229-multipoint-server-wont-apply-gpos.html
Achandler Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Are you using GPP for your proxy settings? If it doesn't pick them up is there any proxy setting sin there at all or just blank?
bewlay51 Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 No, we dont have any proxy setting. I'm still looking for a fix to my GPO issue. Amazing really, had no problems with the Multipoint server since they went in about 4 years ago, and now this !!!
Achandler Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 We have 4 Multipoint Servers here that are fully up to date and no issues. Did you change anything before the GPO stopped applying, such as new machines put into the network etc?
bewlay51 Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 It's not my school, so I don't know; I did the original install. But the GPO's are fine on all the other computers. A very odd problem We have images of both servers so the next step is to restore on of these !!
