Bluetooth headphones & ipod classic

At the moment im using my 120gb ipod classic for the gym but im finding the headphone wire keeps getting in the way or i keep catching.

 

I was wondering if any has had experience of pairing bluetooth headphones to a classic ipod and what's the best type of transmitter to use?

 

Do headphones just pick up the signal from the transmitter when attached to the ipod? I can't get my head around it, surely i would have to select which device i want to use?

Nevermind, i think ive answered my own question. Looks like i could buy a 3.5mm headphone bluetooth transmitter by layen or buy a 30 pin connector for the classic ipod, the idc iblu connector and tjen get a pair of head phones (QY8).
