Hi All,

We have had a aerohive wireless system in place for just over a year now and it works well. I am looking into creating a portal login page for use on our Guest SSID, as anyone else done this and was it an easy thing to implement?

Thanks

Just had an invite for a free AP. Never heard of them before!

How do they compare on price and quality to other suppliers? I'm using ubiquiti products in smaller infant schools, but also looking at larger setup's for my primaries.

I don't like the prices much on Ruckus and Meraki licences!

In the past I've used Aruba, D-Link and Aerohive. I personally find that AeroHive is the easiest to manage. I believe we paid roughly £200 per AP which are all POE powered and then we have the aerohive controller hosted on a virtual machine. For a growing school, the system works effectively and I have never had any issues.

Aerohive comes with pre loaded captive portal pages, you can customise these with the basic editor in Hive Manger or you can download the directory and change it for something completely your own. I think the only caveat is that the portal directory must be no larger than 1MB.
