Hi,

When we are deploying images via SCCM 2012 it is randomly "dropping" the network card on the later end of the TS on the last few steps. In our case these are software installs. When I press F8 and run IP config the adapter is completely missing. Its on a verity of devices as well. Its working flawlessly with Windows 7 images. Does anyone have any thoughts please?

Thanks

Sounds like a driver issue to me. Are there any updated drivers available for the NIC?

/edit You can open the device manager from the F8 command line by typing in MMC and adding the computer management or device manager snapin. If you do that, what appears under network devices? Yellow question mark? Is the driver missing or is it having trouble starting?

Didn't know you could do that!

There are some low power settings in the Dell Bios. It has an impact on WOL, just wondering if it doing something to do with that. I have disabled it and reimaged the machine to see if that sorts it. Will try your thing if it doesn't work.

Really sounds like a driver issue then.

Use the keyboard! Alt to bring up the menu. Its a bit more long winded but you'll get there eventually

I am to young to know the keyboard commands ha ha.

I have just checked and the driver is the latest one. But if it was a driver why would it happen of different kit?
