AD - Custom Variables

Hi All,

 

Is it possible to set custom variables in the AD? That is store information that otherwise would not automatically be stored? For example a seperate username and password for a different service?

I tend to use some of the un-used but usable fields in AD for this kind of information such as employeeID and employeeNumber, easier than editing the schema.

 

Although you can edit the schema yourself make sure you read up well before doing anything and make sure you have backups just in case something goes wrong! Also, this is irreversible so make sure you're completely happy with any changes before you commit.
