[sims] HODs and Assessment

Hi guys - sure it's simple - but I can't get my HODs to see marksheets of subjects they are head - eg my science HOD can only see marksheets of classes she teaches, not classes of other science subjects.

 

I've added her as "Head of Dept" in each subject in course manager, and tried "Course Co-odinator there too - but still just her classes... any ideas?

That's all I've done, and as far as I can tell they have access.

 

What I've done to make it easier for our HoDs is to assign the whole course as a marksheet, combine that with a year group filter on the assessment template and they can see all the kids doing their subject at once.

One thing to note is they won't have access to the individual classes, but to the course. So you need to add a marksheet for the course itself.

 

Then your HOD will see something like "Assessment Marksheet: Science", which when opened will show all Science students. The key is setting the 'Course Link' on the template, so that the HOD can then add the 'Class' column to the course marksheet and it'll populate correctly, then she can sort/filter as required.

Ah I dind't realise they couldn't see the classes - that's fine I'll add them to the course.
