fiza Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Can anyone tell me how to configure the GAFE Spam filter to allow internal emails to flow without hindrance? We are getting quite a few dropping into spam. My settings look like this : With these settings I thought internal emails would not end up in spam.
Oaktech Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 can you not just create a bypass list and add the internal domain to it?
ThatBoringBloke Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 In the advanced settings for Gmail (In the Admin Console) go to the Default Routing Tab. Add a setting in there. For instance I have our All Staff configured to not go to spam if sent to that address. 1
fiza Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 can you not just create a bypass list and add the internal domain to it? Sorry doesn't show in my screenshot but that is also done. Still some emails fall into spam. 1

I am looking at the 'receiving routing' setting and I don't know what to add in.

fiza Posted October 22, 2015 Author Posted October 22, 2015 https://support.google.com/a/answer/60751?hl=en That should show you how to whitelist your internal domain Thanks. I have had a look and that only allows me to put in IP addresses of domains. Am I able to put the IP address of our GAFE domain in there? Is that a static IP that will stay with us for as long as we are using GAFE?
TIOAOA Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 This fixed the exact problem you are having for us https://support.google.com/a/answer/178723?hl=en 1
fiza Posted October 22, 2015 Author Posted October 22, 2015 This fixed the exact problem you are having for us https://support.google.com/a/answer/178723?hl=en I already have the spf value set. I have had this since day one but internal emails still get flagged as spam sometimes.
bladedanny Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Not going to be much help but we had a member of staff's emails going into the spam folder despite have any internal emails not supposed to go to the spam folder. She recedntly got married and needed her name changing any way. After the name change her emails weren't getting flagged as spam anymore.
fiza Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 Anyone have any ideas about this? Still having issues. Will have to resort to phoning Google if I can't fix it.

Is this affecting email groups? If so; Go to the group settings and for each group, go to settings > moderation > and select "skip the moderation queue and post directly to the group" Assuming you are using groups as email groups and not as forums.

Not groups. This mainly seems to happen with "requests for access", "invitations to view" & "invitations to edit". Doesn't happen to everyone and not all the time.
CyberNerd Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I think you should get some evidence together using vault or the email logs and report a case to google.
