Chrome 46 onwards won't display a padlock (or triangle) for mixed-content sites

It won't whine about it, but it won't show it as secure either.

 

So if you've deployed Chrome, (mostly) trained your users to look for padlocks and have to use terrible websites to communicate with the LA/central gov....

Google are trying hard to push forward Web security (rightly or wrongly). They warn about old security standards and we get broken https due to the certificates we install to do https interception. I guess they mean well
