firefox_2006 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Hi We have recently purchased 20 or so laptops from Novatech. Problem I am having is that in order to enable the wireless you have to press FN and F10 every time you turn the computer on. Is there a way of "forcing" the wireless into life without having to use these keys? Maybe some script during boot process? I am having visions now of teachers returning these laptops saying "I can't log on..." firefox_2006
plexer Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 With all the novatech laptops we've had from 4 years ago to present day once the wireless is activated it stays activated unless turned off. You looked in the bios? What model are they? Ben

Model No: U50SI1 Any ideas? firefox_2006
sidewinder Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 We have the same problem with a load of Acer 4150 laptops - wireless has to be turned on every single time, which causes a LOT of problems No way we could ever find to keep it enabled, so all we could do was make all the teachers aware, and finally (after 2 years) we're starting to get less calls about them
