Getting photos off a Mac

I have a Mac from a school and they have downloaded all their Photos onto it - There are hundreds! but now the Mac is full and I can't actually use it for what I need it for - Apple server and App deployment.

 

I've tried using iPhoto but it keeps telling me I need to update it when I go to update it it tells me the update is not available in this country!!

 

Any ideas?

If you can't delete from within iPhoto then you should be able to manually delete the photos. Might need to clean up iPhoto afterwards.

 

If you right click on 'iPhoto library' in the pictures folder for the user, you should be able to view all contents. Delete the originals.
