Custom Logon Backgrounds

Just wondered if anyone uses custom logon backgrounds in Windows 7 and how they've achieved it? I'm looking to customise the logon screen with our logo and some basic e-safety points. At the moment I use the interactive logon notice for this but it's not great.

Note that you must have one called backgroundDefault.jpg, which i use the highest resolution for here 1920x1080. Then you can have others named as in the script.

Easy to do.

 

Replace C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds\backgroundDefault.jpg with your own image (got to be less than 128k in size off the top of my head)

Replace C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\user.bmp with your own logo if you want to

Set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background

Value name OEMBackground

Value type REG_DWORD

Value data 0x1 (1)
