Cannot install IE10 on Windows 7 SP1 machine, IE11 is fine

Hi guys,

 

I am trying to upgrade my machines to IE10 from IE9. (Software restrictions) When I download IE11 the install works fine, but with IE10 the installer says it is not compatible with this version of Windows???? Bit strange if IE11 works?

 

I have followed this thread https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2820688 and have all prerequisites installed. This is a newly installed machine.

 

If anyone has had a similar issue or has any ideas let me know. Thanks

Microsoft are going to stop supporting IE10 in around 3 months time. Personally I wouldn't waste any time trying to get it working.

Why don't you go to IE11. Security updates will be stopped after Jan 2016 for ie 9 and 10.
