Sharepoint Calendar Search - Results from Following Calendar Year

Good Morning All,

 

I feel like I am banging my head against a wall with this. We use Sharepoint for our school calendar and have done for a long time. However, when we search for events, it will not show any results from 2016. I am unsure if this is by design, can someone else confirm if this works for them?

 

FYI We are running Sharepoint 2010.
