I done the SSO test with the MS connectivity tool and it passed ok. Web based SSO works fine e.g. outlook.com/domain.ac.uk but when using word 2013 it doesn't allow the connection.

clicking on 'open > One Drive' says 'sorry we can't make this update because there are problems with your account'
