Hi folks,

A purported feature of Office 2016 was that it would allow multi-user editing of Office 365 documents, much like the web version does. Except that it doesn't work, it only allows a single user to open an O365 document.

Am I missing something here, has anyone got this to work?

As long as the file is shared on OneDrive/Sharepoint it can be opened and editted by multiple people at the same time, this is not a new feature of Office 2016. Oddly though Excel doesn't support this same time coauthoring.

The new real-time coauthoring feature in Word 2016 only means users no longer need to hit save to see what others changed.
