Mountain Lion random software opening

Hi, we have a suite of 30 imacs late 2012 with 8GB of ram in each and software such as photoshop or keynote will just randomly start up for no reason. We also have a lot of issues with photoshop crashing or stuttering. They are all linked to AD server with a Mac Mini late 2011 4GB ram wunning Yosemite with latest version of OS X Server. Has anyone else noticed this issue before?

Do you have any wireless mice or keyboards on them, and are people using them at the time?

Yes every mac has a wireless mice and graphics tablets. Yes people are using them when it starts to crash notmally 5 to 6 machines at a time but if left to idle stuff still randomly opens

Yes since they where installed 3 years ago seems to hve got worse though

Well, and I'm happy to be corrected here, but my experiance of having many Windows PC's all trying to use the same wireless KB and mouse combo in a small space was utter chaos. I didn't recommend this btw, someone thought it would be a good idea for a clutter/wire free desk.

What actually happens in that you get a large amount of computers all trying to use (or accidentally connected to) the wrong kb/mouse.

I'd seriously recommend you get these hardwired as what you have is a lot of cross channel\device interference and a computer on one side of the room is picking up the signal from anothers mouse.

With 30 Macs this is quite a bit of potential crossover traffic.

Did this help any as I'm curious to know if Macs do suffer from the same kind of crossover traffic as PC's in an environment that has lots of wireless mice and keyboards.

Sorry for not replying, it's been busy. Yeah there was an issue when they where first installed with frequency jamming where it would knock them of and would need to be re-inserted to be able to function but we switched to 2 different makes of mice which reduced this. I still haven't gotten to the bottom of the software randomly opening in the background though.

If this is happens when a user first logs on, it is because when they logged off last there is a check-box which says to reopen programs on next login. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I log in force quit any open software and with the same user logged in all day idling by lunchtime about 5 pieces of software have been opened with no one touching it

I have managed to fix this now if anyone was interested it was a problem with our users using the same windows login for 30 iMacs as everytime they logged in and out it was creating 30 login preference files then not being able to access them properly and using default reopen windows. I have found a way to delete the preference files and I am currently making a script that does kt automatically every half hour.
