robsonma Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Hi, I have just had a batch of 60 Ipads and Have been installing them bit by bit, anyway I noticed today that I install Meraki profile to the Ipad using apple configurator, all looks ok but a user on the Ipad is able to go to General and remove the apple configurator and Meraki Profiles and delete them! am I missing something?
plexer Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Not really nothing stopping someone from deleting these profiles it's Apples "design" Ben
the_dude Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 you need to link meraki with apple's DEP
robsonma Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 Ohh thanks I'll take a look at that!
elliottmarter Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Under general>restrictions are you able to restrict that kind of stuff? we use a combination of the two at my company.
tmoon-mint Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Not really nothing stopping someone from deleting these profiles it's Apples "design" Ben Not at all, in Apple Configurator and Meraki you can set it to require a password for removal.
localzuk Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 In Meraki, under the main profile settings, there is a field "Removal Policy". Works for us.
