We have a teacher who is creating Activinspire Flipcharts at home, and when they are loaded onto Activinspire in school, the contents of each page are only displayed in the page browser Thumbnall preview. The actual flipchart page is blank. Both at home and school are running Activinspire 2.4.66096. The teachers home PC in Windows 10, school runs windows 7. Does anybody have any ideas what the cause is of this ?
phillyrovers Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Hi Churchers, This is going to be a very difficult one difficult one to answer, especially because Promethean don't support Windows 10 at present.....however I think that is a red herring in any case for this. The next questions would be to understand what kind of media the customer is using to transfer the files to the school, have the files been moved to the local drive before opening? do the flipcharts still open ok on the Windows 10 machine? Without getting into the real nitty gritty of the machines and exact circumstances of what is happening, it is going to be difficult to determine where the fault is occurring. It might be best to contact our support team and see if they can offer any advice. Thank you
Churchers Posted September 15, 2015 Author Posted September 15, 2015 Hi phillyrovers I understand that this is a very difficult one to troubleshoot. I think the teacher is bring in the flipcharts using a USB key stick. I will get her to email them directly in from home.
Churchers Posted September 23, 2015 Author Posted September 23, 2015 The teacher has told me she has downgraded her OS back to Windows 8 and everything is now fine. All flipcharts she has created at home are now loading up in school.
