featured_spectre Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Well, that's one team that will be in the final ... Possibly one ref too. Got to admire Nigel Owens silently waiting for the handbags to be put down before sorting out the cause of the fight. Can a ref be Sports Personality of the Year? Funnily enough I think Nigel Owens and Romain Poite are likely contenders for the final. Both have zero chance of their home team being in the final, and both are very good and very fair referees.

jdoyle Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 wasn't too sure about the handling of the fist issue but Nigel Owens is a ref to be admired. No idea what the French plan was; NZ seem to have overcome their ball handling issues from the first game and were awesome to watch. The French gave Ireland a hard game but seemed to be OK about rolling over for a tummy tickle by the kiwis. Enjoyed the Wales vs SA game. Bodes well for the Welsh 6 Nations campaign (I hope). Think the Australians will be too strong for Scotland. Ireland to beat Argentina (another I hope there). Semi's are going to be full on games the way things are building.
elsiegee40 Posted October 18, 2015 Author Posted October 18, 2015 Come on Ireland. Get it together! I really hope things improve!
6Foot2 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I really hope things improve! Try and conversion! Things are looking up.
6Foot2 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 (edited) Ireland missed penalty. 60 minutes gone. Edit: A try and conversion will put Ireland 1 point ahead. 13 minutes to go. Edited October 18, 2015 by 6Foot2 1
featured_spectre Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I think it's going to be an all southern hemisphere semi final
6Foot2 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I think it's going to be an all southern hemisphere semi final That latest try and conversion is the end of the match, I would say [settles the result]
featured_spectre Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I posted just as the try was scored. Lol. People always under rate Argentina, but since playing in the championship, they've improved vastly. They're still the whipping boys of the southern hemisphere, but not for long.
6Foot2 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 (edited) The result is set for sure now. Edit: Result now confirmed. Edited October 18, 2015 by 6Foot2
elsiegee40 Posted October 18, 2015 Author Posted October 18, 2015 All Northern Hemisphere hopes, dreams and willpower focussed on Scotland. Only in my dreams will it be enough I suspect!
6Foot2 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 All Northern Hemisphere hopes, dreams and willpower focussed on Scotland. Only in my dreams will it be enough I suspect! I have a Scottish friend [A retired teacher of art] His hopes are ny hopes now. Reminder: Kick off 4:00 pm.
jdoyle Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 well, I underestimated the Argentinians. Damn.
6Foot2 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Scotland try under the posts! Conversion achieved. 1
featured_spectre Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Where have this Scotland team come from?
elsiegee40 Posted October 18, 2015 Author Posted October 18, 2015 Sounds more like Murrayfield than Twickenham
6Foot2 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 This just now from the ITV commentator: ...Australia have never come from behind at half-time to win in a match in the Rugby World Cup...
ButterflyMoon Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I have been so nervous I had to take the dog out for a walk!!! Can hardly watch
6Foot2 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Scotland try after a charge down. Touchdown near the touchline. Conversion unsuccessful. Scotland one point behind.
6Foot2 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Scotland two points ahead after an interception, try under the posts and conversion. Rain is coming down heavily. 4 minutes to go. Come on Scotland!
featured_spectre Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Wrong decision with the knock on...came off an aussie shoulder...but Scotland can be very proud.
