its_sam Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 I've been using Apple Configurator for a long while now and I'm fairly confident using it. We have 30 iPads and have a small number of paid apps which we purchased through the Volume Purchasing Program. All was working well until one iPad went walk about - never to be seen again. I have since replaced the missing iPad with a spare we had on site, but the redemption codes are still assigned to the old one. How can I assign the codes to the new device?
fairm010 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Pretty sure you select the missing device in Configurator and click Devices > Unsupervise making the license available although I've not had to deal with this yet touch wood.
its_sam Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 I didn't think Configurator allowed you to unsupervise a device without it being plugged in? I've emailed Apple VPP to see if they can send out some more redemption codes to replace the one's we lost.
fairm010 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Yeah I just tries it and it asked to connect the device. Stupid Apple, assuming their products cannot be lost!
