Techdw Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Hi All, Where do you guys have the staff OST located? Mine is currently in the home drive setup by a company that rebuilt my network. Issue is, every time a user goes to another PC, they have to reset outlook back up which isn't ideal. Thanks,
Liam Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 In sure this isn't ms good practice as like you say it restricts them to only using that file one. To be honest, owa is just as powerful as the full client these days..
psydii Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 In the local profile, and it doesn't roam, so yes it rebuilds overtime a user moves pc. For staff, not a problem - roaming profiles remain on the computers. For Students we encourage OWA use.
MrFrostmaul Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 We used to have problems with Outlook client on the computers with the OST file being in their home directory and moving computers. When went to Office 365 we made an end for all staff and students for the Outlook and forced them to use the OWA version. Would recommend if you can do this.
AJWhite1970 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 If you can still find a copy, richprofile would help you as you can start outlook with numerous command lines, the location of the ost file being one of them
