Need to share a folder with only one user from networked server to a standalone

Scenario is Admin and head computers are standalone in a workgroup and they log on locally. And we have a curriculum server that the rest of the school use.

 

I need to put a folder on the server that I can share with the heads computer and only the head... just so its in the proper backup task. How would I go about this. as the head logs on to their computer local and doesnt have a domain user account.

Is it a case of creating a folder sharing it with admin then going to her computer and just mapping a drive or is there a better way

Well you'll need to map the drive in some way. What you could do is have the local account on the computer with an identical username/password on the domain and then the drive will map without the need for seperate inputting of credentials.

 

Edit: If it's purely for backup, why not look at a robocopy script of some kind to mirro the relevent folders on to the network, or Windows Backup?

Enable the guest account on the server, give full read and write permissions.

 

And +1 for robocopy or deltacopy.
