I find this a little odd that these sheep don't shed their wool. The sheep up on the Yorkshire Dales shed their wool if not sheared... so the ones that are right up on the moor that manage to evade the shears look really tatty and don't get into that state

Apparently that's an exception to the rule (especially for the sheep bred for the dinner plate).
