Windows 7 pro to Enterprise

I have seen that it maybe possible to do an in-place upgrade from Pro to Enterprise using a registry change and Enterprise disc and license.

 

Has anyone managed to do this without having to re-build the machine.

 

We have a school full of Windows 7 Pro and I need to move them to Enterprise as bitlocker is not available on Pro.

Pretty sure I did this with my home PC about 2 years ago as you've said via the registry - certainly didn't re-build it!
