Hi,

We have an issue at our place, where the office 2013 is not installing during our build, we use MDT to build our computers. We have a policy which stops programs from running in the AppData\Local area under C:\Users, and my hunch, is that this is stopping it from installing. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Many Thanks.

If it's being blocked by SRP etc it should show in the event log that it's blocked and by what rule.

Example for powershell

Access to C:\windows\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe has been restricted by your Administrator by location with policy rule {ca3864f8-f10f-41db-ac61-e405817d895d} placed on path C:\windows\system32\WindowsPowerShell\*.

When you say it's not installed though what are you using to try to install it? What's your config setup like? Are you using any shares you might not have access to on the account you're using for MDT?

Do you have the pre-requisites installed already at the point you're installing? e.g. Graphics/directx? Browser high enough level? .NET?

Hi Steve,

I Believe that there is a policy which is blocking it, but, I guess my real question is, is there a way where I could keep the policy to stop the exe's running from here, but almost make this one exe an exception? We've got all of the right drivers, and we install it with an account which has access to the share we need it to see.

I appreciate your response on a Sunday!
