Weird issue with Folder Redirection

I've got Windows 7 clients and I've redirected all folders except AppData following Alan Burchill's best practice guide. With a new roaming profile I log on and everything is perfect. I log off and log on again and when I click on Documents, Pictures, Music or Videos from the Start Menu or Windows Explorer there's a 10-15 second delay before the relevant library appears. Any ideas?

We re-direct everything incl AppData and have no issues. initial login circa 30 seconds subsequent logins 12-18 seconds. One thing that comes to mind is the GPO structure. Have you got alot of other policies being applied which require processing following the folder re-direction policy ?

If your right click on Documents etc and select properties is it showing the network location or still local?

Do you get the same delay if you browse to the UNC path?

Network location. Browsing has been disallowed.

Well I've solved the problem for me. Turned out that I needed Change as well as Read on the share. As soon as I did that problem solved!
