Hi,

Can anyone give me any help on running a group policy setting to prevent users from placing a computer on stand by?

We have been plauged with users leaving systems on standby which eventually breaks the domain trust relationship.

We have a server 2012 with Windows 7 and 8 clients, plus some 10 clients by the end of the week.

I would like to be able to prevent them from putting the computers/laptops onto standby by hiding standby as a shutdown option in the start menu, making the system ignore power button pushes and lid closures.

Can this be achieved in server 2012?

Also, is there any way of logging off an inactive user account?
