SIMS Consultant

 

Due to continued customer growth, an opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified, highly motivated and experienced High School SIMS specialist to join our Capita Accredited, hardworking and highly regarded support team.

 

Our company is one of the largest, independent providers of SIMS support in the country. We currently offer support and consultancy services to over 350 Local Authority, Academy and Free Schools, predominantly in the north of England but increasingly on a national basis. It is our aim to help schools get maximum use from their SIMS system and candidates must be pro-active in developing the use of this software in schools.

 

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver high quality support to our customers across a range of SIMS specialisms via our service desk as well as delivering training and consultancy services at our training base in Yorkshire. There is also an expectation that applicants are prepared to deliver on-site training and consultancy to our customers throughout the country as demand dictates.

 

You should have a sound knowledge of supporting high school SIMS modules including Examinations, Course Manager, Nova T6 and Academic Management. You should also have experience and understanding of the following areas: Managing pupil data in SIMS .net, Personnel 7, SIMS end of year procedures, External Returns (Census and SWC), Attendance, Behaviour Management, FMS, Assessment Manager, Profiles, Options and Reporting.

The suitable candidate will ideally already be providing similar services to schools through an existing SIMS support team. The role may also be ideal for an experienced High School SIMS user wanting to utilise their skills in a commercial environment.
