Raising Domain Functional Level

Hi all, managed to finally get rid of our Windows Server 2003 server after many months of it not wanting to leave us.

 

It's time now to promote our domain functional level higher now, is this just as simple as selecting from: Screenshot by Lightshot ? We have multiple Windows Server 2008 R2 Servers so will be promoting to that level so they still work with the domain.

 

Is there anything for me to be aware of before doing this magic step?

Yes - there's Domain and Forest functional levels, which should be set to 2008 R2 in your case.

Its really as simple as that. Don't forget to raise the forest function level.
