TechSupp Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) We have our proxy info as part of our Group Policy and normally this works just fine but just installing a new bunch of PC's and have one that is refusing to take the proxy setting, I can add it manually but it does not pick it up from group policy. the other PC's have picked it up fine so I know its working. Have looked at Gpresult and its applying, all other policies are applying, installing software, mapping drives, setting background etc its just the proxy settings! Anyone got any clues. Have already, deleted its domain account, re-added it to the domain, checked its in the right group etc Forgot to mention, it does get the default home page but fails to load as no proxy settings are set! VeryPC_Anthony_L Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Hi Techsupp, Just wondering if you can provide any more info like what server OS you are running. Anthony
speckytecky Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Not wanting to hijack the thread but we have a similar issue. With ours we have a 32 bit Server 2008 Standard edition DC and tha itself won't take IE11. Mindful that support for IE10 expires in Jan 2016 we have let IE11 deploy through updates. Oddly the students continue to pick up the proxy setting fine but staff logging onto a fresh client need to manually insert it. Odd or what!
