MDT - Create image for someone else to use for duplication

Hi,

 

We are purchasing some new laptops in the summer, and the company we are using are going to image the laptops for us. I just need to get one laptop we already have in advance ready for duplication.

 

I was planning to create a new image virtually, capture it in MDT, add the drivers to MDT etc as I would normally but being pretty new to MDT I wasn't sure the best way to get the laptop setup with this image, which on first boot would sysprep and then allow us to add to our domain etc.

 

Do any more advanced users of MDT know what's the best approach to this?

 

Ideally I'd like to capture the image in MDT so that I can then re image if any require it etc.

Looks like there is an OEM task sequence in MDT. Should have done a Google really. Anyway hopefully that is the thing I'll need.

Alternately have a look at the offline deployment share bit of MDT. It pops the bits of the deployment share you specify into an ISO image (which you could then create a bootable usb stick from).
