Hi! It's me!

You might remember me posting about this last year, but I volunteer with the Chernobyl Children's Project UK. One of the things the charity does is to go out to Belarus and work with disabled children and adults who live in institutions.

I'm off out there in a couple of weeks and am fundraising money to buy things for the people out there (not to fund my trip - I pay for that myself). So we use the money to buy craft materials, games, toys etc. and use them to create a wonderful holiday for everyone there. The folks out there don't have access to these sorts of things usually.

This forum is a real community and as such, I thought I'd ask here if anyone would like to donate.

If you would, you can do here; https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/samanthabelarus15

Thank you!

Donated, I went to the Chernobyl museum in Kiev many years ago and it has always stuck with me. I also ended up in a village in Belarus near the Ukrainian border and remember seeing Geiger counter monitors in the ground which certainly made you reflect on how lucky we are we don't have to deal with anything like that!

Wow thank you everyone! I can't believe the response! You are all just as wonderful as I thought :-) It really will make a difference to so many of the people we support out there. :D
