Dos_Box Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Not only are Amazon having a big sale for Prime subscribers only today, but they are offering Prime @£20 off today only. So instead of paying £79 it's only £59. Nice 1
tommej Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Mine just ran out on the 2nd - wasn't going to reup but this is tempting!
bossman Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 @Dos_Box Damn! only just bought an amazon TV firestick last night and signed up for 30 day trial, what Iv'e seen so far is quite good and I would like to change my account but it states £79 when I go into my account and try to change it, no sign of the £20 off?
Dos_Box Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 It turns out the Prime Day sale is on the 15th, not today.
elsiegee40 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Is it worth getting prime ? Depends on how much you use Amazon and its services.
RichCowell Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) I'm in my second year of Amazon Prime now, and got to say it's pretty good... The content of the "free" prime content on Amazon Video is updated in a similar manner to Netflix (also got) and Now TV, so not terribly regularly... but (like Netflix) they're doing more and more of their own shows now, catering to various audiences, and some of those are pretty good... Plus the free delivery on most stuff on Amazon can save a fortune if you buy a lot from there... and being able to give 4 other people access to that free prime next day deliveries is a nice little bonus for your family/friends too... (I think there's a sale just for existing Prime customers on the 15th too which I'm intrigued about too) Edited July 8, 2015 by RichCowell

It's a big banner on the homepage. Try clicking on it and see if it takes you in the right direction
bossman Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Just contacted them as to the new offer at £59 instead of £79, answer I have received is that because I am not a new customer I am not entitled to the discount but as I have been a good customer over the last few years they would give me a voucher for £20 which I can spend on anything.................wait for it!!! Except...........Prime haha! So when my trial finishes I will debited by £79 for the year! I think I will cancel my subscription to prime before the end of the trial

If you don't ask, you don't get...

halbaradkenafin Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Very tempting to sign up now, I've put it off in the past as I never really ordered much from them but "free" postage is pretty good and the other stuff is probably worth it too.
featured_spectre Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Prime day is July 15th only Prime £20 off is today only Fun times as mine ran out on the 29th...wasn't going to re-up, but this gave me the motivation.
JRowley Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I've been on prime basically since it was released, I think it's worth it for the next day delivery alone and now they have added various other products to it as well.
