Impero - e-safety

Hi, we're looking at e-safety options - what do people think of Impero for this task?

 

Does it cache a history of websites visited when a laptop is offsite - and can you then access that list once it is returned?

Can I simply run a pupil or machine report and see his/her or its web history?

esafety was the primary reason I looked into Impero when I was looking a few years ago, and I can't recommend it highly enough, not only for the esafety side of things, but for everything else it does too...

 

I can't remember about the cached history for off-site laptops off the top of my head, though I'm sure I've heard it discussed, but it can show you detailed logs of student / machine activity, not just web history but open documents / window titles, printed & deleted files etc. as well as violations of the policies with screenshots and videos...

@russdev should be able to answer for certain, but I think this was brought up in another topic in the last month or two and the answer was that it does log it locally until it can sync those logs back to the server.

Yes if client disconnects from server then when connects back up will send the data to the server.
