Server Fails Updates

I have installed a new virtual server with Server 2012 R2 which has installed fine, I have set it to install updates and it has rebooted and it seems to be hung on 'Updating your system 6%' for at least an hour.

 

Any ideas?

I would chance it and do a reset on it...presuming your using Hyper-V

Hope you have a snapshot you can go back to as you will need to start over with the updates.

 

Do NOT install KB 2919355 on the first round of updates and possibly the following updates although it was only the KB 2919355 that caused me this issue.

· KB2982791

· KB2970228

· KB2975719

· KB2975331

 

You will be fine to re-tick these updates on the next round of updates they just cause an issue if another update is not already installed.
