Serif MoviePlus X6 Unable to determine My Documents Folder

Hi Hopefully someone can shed some light on this error message. We are using mapped home directory and mandatory profile for students & when launching MoviePlus X6, receive the message, Error: Unable to determine My Documents Folder.

Click OK and the software runs as normal.

Any idea how we can avoid this message appearing in the first place please?

Did you install using the supplied .msi through GPO or did you install manually? Also, have you tried holding the ctrl key down when clicking the program shortcut, does that fix the problem?

Installed following the Network Guide provided by Serif (using the netcopy.exe) by PDQ Deploy. Tried holding down the ctrl button - message displays about resetting user settings, then the normal error message.

 

Looked in the Tools/Options/Folders and all boxes bar the temp export location are empty. Typed in the mapped network drive for redirected My Documents, relaunched software but still the same

You install the same way we do. The only thing I have left would be to uninstall and manually remove any serif references from the appdata folder and registry, then re-install. We've had problems with older serif titles and the tech support basically say that they can't replicate the issue.

Bumping an old thread. Does anyone know in MoviePus X6 if there's a way via a file or registry to change the location of the Folders in the Options area? Can't see anything when scanning through the program and appdata directories, nor can I see anything via regedit.

Me again. Anyone tips on setting/variables to use to get X6 to deploy with PDQ silently? I've used netcopy to create the MSI but upon runnning it on a PC, it is still asking for the old next, next, install etc.

 

Seemingly got it working by locally running msiexec /i /quiet "serif_MSI.msi" but it's still a one by one basis...
