psydii Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Gpupdate service is responsible for applying group policy. On machines that have it disabled you will be unable to apply settings from Group Policy. As a test on a small number of machines in a lab, disabling it is a legitimate investigative strategy, but I would recommend against doing that on machines in production.
