AJWhite1970 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Hi I have a couple of physical Windows 2008 SP2 servers (ver 6.0.6002) that in an ideal world I would like to do an inplace upgrade to Windows 2012R2 (the domain is already running W2K12R2). One server has nothing but home directories on it while the other also has home directories as well as Papercut NG and most of the print queues for the school. Is an inplace upgrade a bad idea or can someone confirm it actually upgrades as easily as M$ claim? Cheers Andrew
Steve21 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 The home one shouldn't be a problem if you have nothing special setup on it, but the print one you'll need to do print migration etc else you'll lose them normally Steve 1
AJWhite1970 Posted June 24, 2015 Author Posted June 24, 2015 Cheers, pretty much confirms what I was thinking. Andrew
SHimmer45 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 the printmanagement.msc lets you export out all your printer Q and setting information which is nice
