Just after opinions really, I have 2 Unifi UAP-Pro AP's in place at the moment and they are working quite happily. I would quite like something like dynamic vlan assignment via radius, but as we don't have radius in place at the moment so it's a long term project eventually.

A supplier recently sent over details of xClaim wireless which seems to work on a similar basis to Unifi but made by Rukus instead. I can get a dual band AP cheaper for xClaim then I can for Unifi and I'm wondering as we've only 2 AP's if it's going to be better to switch now's the time to do it, however can't see a lot of benefits over Unifi (802.1x is still in development on xClaim too).

Anybody used xClaim yet or point in any general direction as to which you would recomend and why?

Wow, sounds like Ruckus have finally caught onto UniFi. Better late then never! Personally I'd still recommend sticking with UniFi purely as it's very well tried and tested.

I agree totally, too.

The xclaims are under quite active development at the moment and some bits are a bit flaky (web management). But perhaps dynamic vlans will be implemented in the not to distant future, unlike unifi where I wouldn't hold your breath waiting on that one...
