Good morning all,

I have finally got round to getting this installed and so far all has gone quite smoothly. However, I am am having problems getting the customers authenticated via LDAP.

After entering the LDAP settings into 'Framework -> Frontend::Customer::Auth' I then try to login with a customer account at http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/otrs/customer.pl and get the following message:

Authentication succeeded, but no customer record is found in the customer backend. Please contact your administrator.

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

Having a similar issue, I can see the customers from the dashboard and log jobs against them etc. I just can't get them to log on to the portal. I get incorrect password or username. But I know they're right. Have you solved your issue?

Nah, I never found the answer and as I only wanted to have a look and play I didn't waste too much time.

If you ever manage to find the answer then please let me know as i may visit it again one day.

Cheers

I did find it out. Turns out the customers never go into the database for ldap in otrs. It uses transparent queries against information in the ticket tables etc. Only agents are stored in the system. So I was looking for something that didn't exist. Also, my baseDN had a spelling error! Doh! And you need to specify the authenticated user by their full distinguished name for it to work. Hope that helps.
