Hi All,

Fairly new to SOLUS 3 and I'm trying to get my head round what the screens mean and how relevant they are.

I have deployed what I thought was the 'Date Selector Patch' then I find it actually deploys a few other patches...

On the Upgrades > Deployment History > Detail screen it shows that a client is offline and that the deployment (as a whole I take it) is Partially Successful.

However, I have made sure that this client is now online and has responded to a status check. The screen hasn't changed, so I am presuming it is just a snapshot of the deployment within a given time-frame, because it also has one client status as failed with 'Another deployment is currently in progress' in the 'Comment' column, but in Environment > Agents the comment is 'Update was successfully installed'...

So my question is: How can I tell if the original client has updated with this patch and if it hasn't, how do I deploy this patch to a single workstation?

2 Ways you can check.

1. In the solue 3 Console, on your deployment click on View Detail in the bottom right, it will then give you the status of the dployment of the workstations for all patches (think it has 2/3 other patches depending on what update you last pushed out). Locate the computer and it will tell you the status of the deployment. If you go to one of the other many tabs it will show you the current version of the SIMs client deployed (think it's Agent -> Targets but I might be wrong)

2. On the client, either go to C:\Program Files\SIMS\SIMS .Net and right click on Pulsar, properties and view the version number under detail. You could also check the Solus 3 Agent on the client by double clicking on it and the choosing the second tab and checking the version there.

Depend whether you've deployed the patch to the site yet or not.

If yes - simply go through the redeploy route for the patch, on the Update histroy screen, select the patch and somewhere is a redeploy button, but it's a while since I've had to use it. On the next screen simply select the computer you want to redeploy too and select save and redeploy (I think).

If no - you can try updating the Aplication from the Solus 3 agent, it seems to want to deploy the latest version if you press Check for Updates regardless of whether you've deployed the patch/update site wide or not otherwise no, you'll need to push it out site wide first.
