LukeC Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Hello, Is there away that I can compare codecs between 2 laptops. As we are using air server on both devices one will play videos and the other wont.
Geoff Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 It might be easier to identify a video that doesn't work on one but does on the other and then check what codecs it is.

Windows 7 onwards plays MP4s out of the box. As we are using air server on both devices one will play videos and the other won't. On the one that doesn't work you could try installing LAV Filters. http://www.videohelp.com/software/LAV-Filters
LukeC Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 All ready have lav filters installed. the message I get it is . Airserver cannot play this video using Microsoft direct show. Microsoft direct show does not support the format. The videos play fine on the desktop when copied across just not over airserver
