Afternoon all,

After fannying around with my first and (hopefully last) MS Vista system restore, I have had issues with WSUS updating anything past IE7. I have taken the bull by the horns and I am in the process of running the WSUS Offline application which allows me to download all WSUS updates to a USB stick or hard drive and run the app from there. I have chosen to download all updates for all OSes, just wondering if anyone else is or has used this and whether there is a quick way to update the local repository on say a weekly basis. I may decide to use my NAS drive at home to host this on if it does?

Yeah I use this all the time for my machines at home. It's a great way to apply updates quickly.

What you will find is that you may have to run it, reboot and run it again. But it does obviously cut all the time of having to download them on each pc.
