Monitoring A-Level subject take-up

I've been asked to put together some information on the take-up rates of various subjects at A2 following AS level. I've been asked to provide demographic data with this information.

 

We use SIMS and, within that, Course Manager but all our sixth form courses are just one year, so I can't see a way of easily getting the information out of there.

 

Is anyone else doing this analysis and, if so, what data source are you using and how do you get to the numbers?
