aaltaf Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Hi Guys, We are currently using Focus Fingertips for our profiling. However from August 31st we can now longer use it to gather evidence and track progress as Focus Education have stopped this service. We have been advised to go with 2Simple as all our current data can be transferred over to them. However 2 Simple does not offer its own tracking service you have to purchase classroom monitor. What do you guys use for your EYFS setting? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks,
jamesreedersmith Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 2 Simple do 2 Build a Profile - this is the EYFS tool, is this what they mean?
Joanne Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 We use tapestry. Don't know is it has tracking though.... we also have Target Tracker (which I think is for tracking...)
jamesreedersmith Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Alternatively there are Target Tracker EYFS and Tapestry that are used a lot in EY settings that i am aware of depending on what you are looking to do.
aaltaf Posted May 12, 2015 Author Posted May 12, 2015 Yes 2Build a profile is what we have been advised to go with. However I have been told by our Head of Pre-Prep that tracking the childs progress through EYFS is a requirement for inspection. Our staff would prefer one system that will do it all rather than going into two separate websites/applications to collect evidence and monitor progress.
eean Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Tapestry does have tracking. You decide upon snapshot points, it will suggest a level based upon the information you've given it in observations but you have the option to change it. You can do analysis on the website or download data and put it in SIMS, or equivalent.
