Hi

I have around 60 Mac's of differing types and flavors of OS-X (all intel).

Does anyone one know if I were to upgrade them all to Yosemite, if I could install GarageBand on them for free, or if I would have to by some sort of license of each client machine???

Many of were bought before the Apple free give away when you buy new idea a few years ago, but all could be attached to my school Apple ID and enable me to download my copy which came with a couple of my Mac Mini's.

Any thought would be great...cheers

I believe that the license to install Garageband only exists on those Macs that were bought with it already on. The fact that you can install it on them all is not a license to do so sadly!

It's not too pricey at £3.99 per copy, though the extra loops cost extra in-app.

That's kind of what I thought was the case to be honest. I was under the impression that for home users with multiple Mac's or IOS devices they were free to put it on all their devices, but this was not the case in the Business/Education world.

Thanks for the info.
